LEE COUNTY, Fla.- One of the US Marshals' 15 most wanted fugitives is in custody in Broward County. Federal agents captured Felipe Torrealba at a townhouse in South Fort Myers Thursday night.

US Marshals say this dangerous fugitive has been hiding in Lee County for months. The Broward County Sheriff's Office is currently holding him in the main jail. US Marshals say he has a 12-year violent criminal history. In August, US Marshals almost captured Torrealba in Lehigh Acres, and again in Cape Coral, but he got away both times.

Broward County detectives hope to question him soon about his involvement in a murder there. Law enforcement escorted Felipe Torrealba out of the hospital and straight to the Broward County Jail. Doctors treated him for cuts and bruises.

On Thursday, 30 deputy marshals and task force members from Miami and Fort Lauderdale, along with local law enforcement, surrounded a townhouse on Dublin Circle in Fort Myers. Inside, they found Torrealba, $15,000, cocaine, a wig and binoculars. The US Marshals say he used those items to stay under the radar.

US Marshals say a tip led them to Torrealba. There's no word yet on when he'll be in court.
