ROTONDA WEST, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit detectives, assisted by Street Crimes and K9 units, served a search warrant at a known drug house in Rotonda West and made one arrest this morning. Mark Allen Kapuscinski, 53, of 97 Broadmoor Lane, was arrested. Narcotics detectives said Kapuscinski has been arrested 44 times with 22 felony convictions.
Acting on tips and multiple calls for service to the home, detectives began their investigation and obtained a search warrant. Tuesday at 7:00 a.m., they located Kapuscinski at his home and read the search warrant to him. Detectives searched his home and located the following:
Baggie with 43 Hydromorphone pills
Baggie with 12 Hydromorphone pills
Baggie with 4 Morphine pills
Baggie with 0.5 grams powder Cocaine
Plate with 5.5 grams Cocaine
Plate with 1.0 grams Cocaine
Measuring cup with 0.4 grams Cocaine
Cut straw with Cocaine residue
Smoking pipe with Cocaine residue
$130 cash
One .45 caliber bullet
Kapuscinski was charged with Trafficking in Hydromorphone, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Morphine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Store/Contain), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Injest/Inhale), and Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon.
Kapuscinski was taken to the Charlotte County Jail where he remains on no bond.
