FHP investigates deadly motorcycle crash

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla.- The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly motorcycle crash at Bayshore Road and Euclid Avenue in North Fort Myers. Troopers say a car was trying to turn left onto Euclid when it collided with two motorcycles.

One of the motorcycles had two people on it. That bike went up in flames, but the people walked away without any injuries. 19-year-old Joseph  Simpkins, of North Fort Myers was  on the second bike and died. 

The driver of the car is okay.

Witness, Lisa Humphrey, tells WINK news, she heard the roar of motorcycles before the big crash. When she ran outside to see what happened, she saw a motorcycle on fire and called 911.
