NORTH PORT, Fla.- The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has arrested 49-year-old Angel Manuel Gonzalez-Ramos, of 1192 Clearview Drive in Port Charlotte, in connection with a shooting incident in Warm Mineral Springs Thursday night.
According to 39-year-old Petr Fesyuk, a man he knows only as “Angel” showed up at his home on San Luis Street just before midnight armed with a rifle and threatened to kill him. The two struggled and the suspect fired multiple rounds, some of which struck the residence. When the victim eventually gained control of the rifle the suspect fled.
Based on information provided by the victim and witnesses, detectives determined that the suspect was Gonzalez-Ramos. After the victim positively identified him from a photo lineup, detectives obtained a warrant for Gonzalez-Ramos. He was arrested at his home Friday night with the assistance of the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
Gonzalez-Ramos is currently being held at the Charlotte County Jail charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling.
