PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's deputies arrested two men in Port Charlotte after North Port Police issued a BOLO for an armed robbery in their city. Jaime Omar Sepulveda, 33, of 22308 Nyack Avenue, and Kareem Lamar James, 30, of 1160 Stamford Street, were arrested.

CCSO received a BOLO from NPPD at 11:00 p.m. Monday to look for a 2004 Silver Toyota Corolla wanted for an armed robbery in North Port. At 11:19 p.m., an alert CCSO deputy observed the car at the Sunoco gas station at U.S. 41 and Midway Boulevard and confirmed the license tag number. James, the driver, was taken into custody near the door of the gas station and Sepulveda was located in the car and also arrested.

NPPD detectives responded to the gas station and confirmed that a tattoo on Sepulveda’s arm matched that provided by the victim. It was also learned that James left his driver’s license at the victim’s home, placing him also at the crime scene.

Both were taken to the Charlotte County Jail and were each charged with Armed Robbery, Grand Theft of a Controlled Substance, and Grand Theft (currency). This is the 12th booking here in Charlotte County for Sepulveda, a convicted felon. James has been booked in the Charlotte County Jail six times. Both men remain in jail on no bond, pending transfer back to Sarasota County to face the NPPD charges.
