PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who has stolen several cameras and DVD’s from Sam’s Club, 17700 Murdock Circle in Port Charlotte on four different occasions. Sam’s security provided surveillance photos of the past thefts believed to be committed by the same man.

On two occasions in July, the suspect was seen on video stealing Nikon digital cameras. Both times he was wearing a peach color short sleeve fishing type shirt, grey shorts and flip-flops. He was accompanied by a younger white male with dark facial hair, wearing a black tee shirt, black shorts and a black ball cap. In the July 22 camera theft, the subject drove off in a gold or tan Ford Explorer with tinted windows and sunroof. In the July 23 incident he stole another camera and left in an older tan/white four-door car similar to a Chevrolet Caprice. On Aug. 19, the man returned and stole two more cameras. The white male suspect is believed to be in his 50’s or 60’s.

In reviewing previous surveillance video, it is also believed the same man stole nine DVD’s onOct. 8, 2011. At that time he was wearing ablue shirt, blue/white plaid shorts and flip flops.
