SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla.- The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office and the North Port Police Department arrested eight people last night during a joint operation that focused on narcotics-related offenders in North Port and Warm Mineral Springs.
Of the men and women arrested, five had outstanding warrants for drug-related crimes. Those arrested were:
William Justice, DOB 7/12/65, 6988 Ketona Rd., North Port, two counts Sale of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine)
Ricky Jackson, DOB 12/1/75, 5796 Gallatin Ln., North Port, two counts Sale of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine)
Robert Jones, DOB 12/6/53, 1581 Rada Lane, North Port, one count Sale of a Controlled Substance (Oxycodone)
Janine McFarland, DOB 5/9/76, 3243 Mount Hope Street, North Port, one count Sale of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine)
Carolyn Kalanta, DOB 3/24/65, 6360 Mataro Ct., North Port, one count Sale of a Controlled Substance (Oxycodone)
Joseph Golden, DOB 10/22/73, 421 Barger St., Port Charlotte, Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription
Douglas Corliss, DOB 9/27/70, Port Charlotte (no permanent address), Possession of Cannabis
India Pertee, DOB 10/17/85, 4540 Mulgrave Ave., North Port, contempt warrants for Possession of Cocaine and Breach of Peace.
This was the 33rd arrest for Ricky Jackson, the 19th arrest for India Pertee and the 12th arrest for Carolyn Kalanta for crimes in Sarasota County.
The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office South County Narcotics Task Force will continue to dedicate resources to combat crimes that negatively impact property values in our community and the criminals who affect the quality of life for law-abiding citizens.
