ENGLEWOOD EAST, Fla.- A Charlotte County Sheriff's deputy caught a man illegally starting to dump a trailer load of oak limbs along an Englewood East road. Kenneth James Passino, 28, was arrested for felony Litter Law violation. Passino is a convicted felon with 14 bookings into the Charlotte County Jail.
Thursday at 10 a.m., a road deputy on patrol in an undeveloped area where frequent illegal dumping has occurred, observed a Chevrolet pickup parked along the road at 12022 Coleman Avenue. The deputy circled around the area and watched as Passino began to unload tree limbs from the back of the trailer attached to the pickup. The CCSO Environmental Deputy was called to the scene and determined 300 cubic feet of tree limbs had been dumped before being the deputy arrived. Passino said the limbs came from a job site at Topsail Avenue and Strawberry Street.
Passino was transported to the Charlotte County Jail; he posted a $2,500 bond and was released.
