CHARLOTTE COUNTY Fla.- A Lee County man was arrested on June 1st on a Charlotte County Sherff's Office warrant. Joshua Allan Forman was transported Thursday from the Lee County Jail to the Charlotte County Jail to face charges for stealing several farm vehicles and equipment last May.
The investigation began May 16th when the foreman of Bermont Properties reported two Kubota RTV 900 utility vehicles, an acetylene torch set, hydraulic cylinders and miscellaneous tools were stolen. These items were taken from a storage garage at Graham raod and Neal road off S.R. 31 in northeast Charlotte County.
On May 28th, the foreman of Bethel Farms reported an aluminum barn was broken into at 50 Ryals Ranch Road, near the Desoto County line. A Kubota RTV 500, Kubota RTV 900 with boom sprayer, John Deer Gator, Dodge pickup, a Ruffneck Trailer, a welding torch with two tanks and an air boat and trailer were stolen.
On May 31st, the CCSO Crime Scene and Forensic analyst reported palm prints located on aluminum siding at the Ryals Ranch Road barn matched prints of Joshua Forman. Detectives went to his home in North Fort Myers and observed two Kubota utility vehicles parked in a garage.
Forman’s wife gave permission to check serial numbers. Those numbers matched the two vehicles stolen May 16th.
Forman was arrested and taken to the Lee County Jail.
Forman is charged at this time with Burglary, Grand Theft, and four counts of Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle. He remains in the Charlotte County Jail on $60,000 bond.
