LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A 34-year-old Loxahatchee woman is accused of fraudulently using a credit card found in a grocery store.
On May 21, the Lee County Sheriff's Office was contacted by the victim who says she dropped her credit card on the floor while shopping at a Winn Dixie. The victim was notified by her bank that her card had been used at the nearby Circle K on Homestead Road in Lehigh Acres.
Surveillance video shows a female with dark hair exiting the front entrance to the store and picking up the dropped credit card from the floor. The investigation revealed that same suspect had been in the grocery store picking up a Western Union money transfer.
A photo lineup conducted at the Circle K led to the positive identification of suspect Billie Jo Baxter. Following an interview with detectives, Baxter was arrested and charged with Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card and Theft.
