PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives arrested a Port Charlotte woman after she stabbed her boyfriend with a kitchen knife at her home Saturday. Christina Marie Cooper, 40, of 22146 Hernando Boulevard, was charged with Domestic Aggravated Battery.
CCSO received a call at 3:37 p.m. Saturday where five witnesses said Cooper came home, began yelling and screaming at her 35 year old live-in boyfriend. She entered the kitchen, took a kitchen knife off the shelf, and swung at his neck, missing him. She then stabbed him in the right leg below his knee, then threw the knife at a window above his head but it missed and fell on the table where he was sitting. Cooper then fled the home.
The boyfriend was transported by EMS to Peace River Regional Medical Center where he received 20-stitches and was later released. The knife was located and collected for evidence. Cooper returned home Sunday afternoon, was arrested at 2:37 p.m., and transported to the Charlotte County Jail where she remains on no bond. This is her ninth booking.
