PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives arrested a man in jail with another in a string of business burglaries in the Port Charlotte area. Sean Patrick Allen-Cone, 19, was charged with Burglary and Grand Theft in the May 3 burglary of The Dragonz Lair Tattoo Shop, 730-A Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte.

The other two burglaries he’s also charged with were to Just Play Sports, 2602 Tamiami Trail on Mar. 31, and Advance America Cash, 2150 Tamiami Trail, both in Port Charlotte. Detectives said Allen-Cone got a tattoo of “Hip-Hop” on his chest from an artist at the tattoo shop just hours before the burglary occurred. A concrete curbing piece was thrown through the front glass door to gain entry and steal the cash register that contained $300 cash.

CCSO Crime Scene Technicians collected shoe prints on the broken glass that perfectly matched a pair of shoes obtained by a search warrant from his bedroom in a converted detached garage. Detectives said parts of the cash register and a receipt from The Dragonz Lair were found in a canal less than a mile from Allen-Cone’s home. His same shoe prints have also been found in several business burglaries in Port Charlotte with the same method of operation (MO). Detectives continue solving them one by one and more burglary charges are expected to be filed on Allen-Cone.

Allen-Cone has 13 bookings and remains in the Charlotte County Jail on no bond; since May 12, a total of 13 charges have been filed on him so far. Charges range from Burglary, Grand Theft, Possession of a Weapon, Possession of Marijuana Over 20 grams, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Criminal Mischief, and Resisting Arrest.

If anyone has information about Allen-Cone’s involvement in other possible burglary cases, please call detectives at the CCSO at 941-639-2101, or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
