FMPD arrest 1, seize drugs and laptops in raid

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Police arrested 41-year-old Lambert Barnes of Fort Myers, for possession of cocaine with the intent to sell, possession of heroin with the intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Wednesday at 6:25 a.m., the Fort Myers Police Department conducted a search warrant at 3764 Central Avenue, apartment C. The search warrant was the result of a police investigation of street level drug sales.

Police seized 2.3 grams of cocaine base, 3.7 grams of heroin, numerous drug paraphernalia items used for the packaging, weighing and distribution of illicit drugs and $490.

Detectives also recovered eight laptop computers. Police are working to compare the laptops with theft and burglary reports from FMPD and other agencies.
