FORT MYERS, Fla.- A 15-year-old boy is facing charges after allegedly breaking into a home and attempting to break down a wall early Saturday morning.
The victims reported hearing strange noises in the home. When they went to investigate, they found the suspect attempting to break through the drywall in their laundry room, according to police reports.
The three residents of the home held the suspect at bay with an aluminum baseball bat until deputies arrived.
The victims reported that the suspect broke a large piece of glass that was in the laundry room. He suffered lacerations on his arms after lying in the broken glass on the floor.
According to police reports, deputies arrived to find the suspect lying on the floor surrounded by blood and broken glass, as well as a large hole in the drywall.
Deputies report that the boy appeared to be extremely intoxicated and possibly under the influence of another mind altering substance.
