GOLDEN GATE, Fla. - Collier County deputies are investigating a Golden Gate house fire as a case of attempted murder.
Deputies arrested Lisa Lanham, 41, on multiple charges Sunday, including arson and attempted murder.
Investigators say Lanham's husband, James Lanham, awoke early Sunday to find his wife setting fire to their home with a lighter. Another man, identified as Cameron Sanders, was staying in a converted shed behind the home, and told deputies he awoke to discover Lanham lighting his bed on fire.
James Lanham was not injured. Deputies said Sanders suffered minor burns.
The incident is being investigated by the Collier County Sheriff's Office and the State Fire Marshal's Office.
