DEEP CREEK, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives solved two cases of grand theft and arrested a woman for stealing two large televisions from Walmart at 375 Kings Highway in the Deep Creek area on two different dates. Christian Marie Lynch-Ricewick, 31, of 21162 Berselle Avenue in Port Charlotte was arrested Thursday.
On Feb. 15, CCSO was contacted by a Walmart security after discovering two televisions were not in inventory and were never purchased. Surveillance showed a white female come into the story Feb. 10, select a 47 inch TV and exited without paying. The same woman was seen on video coming in the next day and loading a 55-inch TV into her shopping cart and exiting without paying. Video showed her loading the stolen televisions in a silver Chevrolet HHR. The store security agent had a possible suspect of Lynch-Ricewick from a previous dealing with her in another television theft case at the Walmart in Murdock.
A Walmart employee at the Deep Creek store helped her load the television into her shopping cart, and positively identified Lynch-Ricewick from a photo lineup. Thursday, detectives met with Lynch-Ricewick and after the interview, arrested her on two counts of Grand Theft. She was transported to the Charlotte County Jail where she remains on no bond due to a court ordered hold. This is her fifth booking into the County Jail.
