CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla.- The Charlotte County Sheriff's Juvenile Operations Unit conducted business alcohol compliance checks Wednesday on 11 Port Charlotte businesses. All but two were in compliance; two clerks were arrested.

Deputies arrested Kyle Susan Tucker, 49, a clerk at Save-a-Lot, and Thomas Joseph Ozimek, 63, a clerk at D’Vine Wines.

Both were charged with Sale of Alcohol to a Person Under Age 21. Tucker asked for identification, but overrode the safety guard on the register. Ozimek did not ask for any identification. Both sold alcoholic beverages to an underage investigative aide. Both were taken to the Charlotte County Jail, posted a $500 bond, and were released.

The CCSO Juvenile Unit will continue unannounced checks for alcohol compliance.
