NAPLES, Fla.- Adolph Junior Perez, 46, was arrested Tuesday evening after allegedly selling a stolen ATV.
The ATV belonged to Perez's friend who was allowing him to stay in her home temporarily, according to police reports.
The victim confronted Perez when she noticed the vehicle missing, to which he responded that he had given the ATV to someone, but said that he would get it back.
Perez told detectives that the vehicle had been sitting in the backyard under a tarp for some time, and he thought it was trash.
Detectives allowed Perez time to attempt to recover the property for the victim, but he was unable to do so.
The suspect was arrested without incident and is facing charges of grand theft and dealing in stolen property.
