FORT MYERS, Fla.- Austin Vanetta, 19, and Josiah Franklin, 19, were arrested early Monday morning after hosting an open house party at their home on Bartow Blvd.

According to reports, police responded to a noise complaint late Sunday night. Upon arrival, officers reported smelling the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the residence. They also saw multiple open containers of alcohol in plain view.

Police asked for identification from everyone in the residence, at which point six individuals were identified as under the age of 18. The remaining guests were asked to leave.

Officers also noticed marijuana and other drug paraphernalia in plain view in a room which was identified at Vanetta's bedroom, according to police reports.

Vanetta and Franklin were placed under arrest and are both facing charges for six counts of open house party. Vanetta is facing additional charges of three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana under 20 grams.
