FORT MYERS, Fla.- Police seized drugs and arrested two individuals after an investigation stemming from citizen complaints.

On Friday at 7:30 a.m. the Fort Myers Police Department’s Special Investigations Group with the assistance of SWAT and uniformed officers conducted a search warrant at 3509 C-Street apartment #2C in the Palmetto Court housing complex. The investigation was in response to citizen complaints of street level drug sales.

Police seized 500 grams of marijuana, 7.6 grams of Cocaine Hcl, drug paraphernalia used for the packaging, weighing and distribution of illicit drugs and $487.

Police arrested 25-year-old Travis McGee for possession of marijuana with the intent to sell within 1000 feet of a school, possession of cocaine with intent to sell within 1000 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jardae Smith, 21, was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1000 feet of a school, possession of cocaine with the intent to sell within 1000 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia.
