Tampa woman allegedly steals identities of 55 victims

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla.- Michelle Dennison, 27, of Tampa, Fla. was arrested Tuesday afternoon and is facing charges of fraud and drug possesion. 

The suspect was pulled over while traveling northbound on I-75 after making an unsafe lane change in Bonita Springs.

Officers became suspicious after smelling burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle, according to police reports. They also noticed a large amount of newly purchased property throughout the rental car. Dennison told deputies that she had a small amount of marijuana in her purse.

Upon investigation, deputies uncovered not only the marijuna, but a ledger containing 55 names, DOB's and social security numbers of suspected victims of identity theft. In addition, they located nine fraudulent credit cards that were used to commit identity theft and tax fraud.  

Dennison was arrested without incident.
