PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives arrested 52-year-old Maria Helen Burns, of 17492 Foremost Lane, and charged her with Cultivation of Marijuana.

On May 22, an 8½ hour SWAT standoff ended following three shots earlier at deputies that resulted in the arrest of her partner, 34-year-old Lisa Marie Christopolus in their octagon shaped two-story home.

After a search warrant was obtained; detectives seized three loaded weapons and ammunition in the home. Detectives also located 25-30 small marijuana plants growing on a second floor balcony that were healthy, well taken care of, and recently harvested.

Burns was finally located, arrested and taken to the Charlotte County Jail. Saturday, she posted a $2,500 bond and was released.

Christopolus remains in jail on eight felony charges.
