IMMOKALEE, Fla.- A 55-year-old Immokalee man has been charged with second degree murder after turning himself in for the murder of his son-in-law on Sunday.

Adam Robles is accused of stabbing 26-year-old Alvaro Gachez to death on Saturday.

Collier County Deputies responded to 2451 Sanders Pine Circle in reference to a disturbance. Witnesses said that Robles was inside the residence and had held a knife to a female victim's stomach, possibly stabbing her.

Deputies located Gachez deceased on the bathroom floor, but the suspect was gone. According to the CCSO report, the victim had been stabbed in the heart.

Deputies made contact with the victim's wife who was visibly shaken with blood on her face and hand. She told deputies that she and her husband were in bed when Gachez got up to use the bathroom. That's when she heard him yell her name and she saw her father, Robles, enter her bedroom. He allegedly grabbed her chin with a blood-covered hand and held a kitchen knife to her stomach saying, "You ruined my life. Now, I'm going to ruin yours." Robles then fled the area.

The victim's wife told deputies that Robles had a key to their apartment.

Deputies canvassed the neighborhood with negative results. On Sunday, Robles turned himself in to officials.
