COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - Firefighters are battling a fire that has damaged at least three units at a North Naples condominium complex.

A North Naples fire spokesperson said the fire was first reported shortly after 2pm at a building on Bald Eagle Drive at the Naples Bath and Tennis Club. A woman in a wheelchair smelled smoke and her alarm went off, leading her to call 911.

Firefighters say the blaze originated in the top floor of a three-story building. Fire burned through the roof, then made its way downward. Firefighters say at least three units were affected by fire, and possibly more as a result of smoke.

Fifteen to 20 people were safely evacuated. No injuries have been reported.

At least 50 firefighters have responded to the scene, including engines from North Naples FD, Golden Gate FD and the CIty of Naples. The Red Cross is also on scene to provide assistance.
