PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Deep Creek woman involved in a fight at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday morning inside Denny’s Restaurant in Port Charlotte. A 23-year-old Englewood woman was transported by Charlotte County EMS to Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers with multiple head injuries.

Deputies were in the parking lot on directed patrol and heard someone yell that there was a fight inside. Deputies observed several people huddle around a back corner booth who were yelling and arms were flying around. Restaurant employees and witnesses told deputies an argument began among several patrons and a fight erupted between the victim and Zalmanda Lata Macias, 21, of the 26000 block of Ocelot Lane. The victim was bleeding profusely and taken to the hospital in Ft. Myers.

Macias was handcuffed by deputies and charged with felony Aggravated Battery Causing Bodily Harm, Disorderly Conduct, and was issued a Trespassing Warning. Detectives went to the hospital and learned the victim has a broken nose, fracture to her cheek bones and stitches above her left eye. Macias was transported to the Charlotte County Jail where she remains on no bond; this is her third booking.
