TROPICAL GULF ACRES, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit detectives executed a search warrant on a Tropical Gulf Acres home south of Punta Gorda and made an arrest on drug charges.

Detectives went to the home ofWilliam Ray Horner, 54, 28175 Pasadena Drive, around 1:30 p.m. Monday. The search warrant was issued based on a narcotics investigation and read to Horner. Detectives seized two containers and a plastic baggie with Methamphetamine residue. Also located were 77 small zip lock baggies commonly used within the narcotics trade. Detectives also found Klonopin in an Oxycodone pill bottle.

Horner, who has eight bookings and is a convicted felon, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Klonopin, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was transported to the Charlotte County Jail and was later released on $6,000 bond.
