PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's deputies arrested two in a neighborhood fight in Port Charlotte Saturday morning involving three victims. Cody James Miller, 20, of 20987 Cornell Avenue in Port Charlotte, and Kameron Michael Kennedy, 20, of 4499 Stairway Avenue in North Port, were both arrested. This is Miller’s 24th booking and 14th for Kennedy.
Deputies were called about 2 a.m. to a disturbance in the 22400 block of Hernando Avenue and talked with the three victims. One said Miller punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground, then pulled a seven inch knife and threatened to kill him. Another victim said he was punched in the head with a closed fist by Kennedy. The third victim who came to the aid of the first victim said Kennedy struck him on the side of his face with a closed fist.
Witnesses also came forward and identified both Miller and Kennedy; deputies located Miller at 22489 Hernando Avenue and Kennedy at 22346 Hernando Avenue. Both were arrested and transported to the Charlotte County Jail where they remain on no bond. Kennedy is charged with three counts of Battery and Violation of Probation; Miller was charged with two counts of Battery.
