PUNTA GORDA, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's Major Crimes Unit detectives arrested the second of three gunmen involved in a Feb. 23 armed home invasion robbery in the 21300 block of Meehan Avenue in Port Charlotte. The three robbers stole wallets, cash, jewelry and cell phones from the five victims in the home.
Greg Gary Jennis, 18, of 21106 Meehan Ave. was charged with armed home invasion with a firearm. Jennis was arrested Monday at the Charlotte County Jail where he’s been held since Feb. 25 for DUI, Hit and Run with Property Damage, Resisting an Officer, and Fleeing to Elude Officers.
Jennis, Donnahoe Emile Facey, 25, of 189 Salem Ave., and Noel George Adolphus Levy, 19, of 5289 Andris St. in North Port, were all arrested in the hit and run case. When booked, Levy was found to be in possession of a cell phone stolen from one of the five victims in the Meehan Avenue home invasion.
The MCU detective’s investigation identified Greg Jennis as the second man involved in the home invasion. At the jail, Jennis denied knowing anything about the home invasion but was surprised when detectives showed him evidence identifying him and Levy.
The 18 year old has 28 bookings into the Charlotte County Jail; he is being held on no bond. Levy was released Apr. 5 from the jail after posting bond; Lacey posted bond Feb. 25. The investigation continues.
