FORT MYERS, Fla.- A 48-year-old Fort Myers man was arrested for burglary after returning to the scene of the crime on his bicycle.

On Wednesday, the Fort Myers Police Department responded to a home on Kentucky Avenue in reference to a burglary to a vehicle.

Officers learned that prior to their arrival several people in the neighborhood spotted the burglary in progress, but the suspect had fled the scene on a bicycle.

The witnesses were able to give the officers a detailed description of the suspect.

While taking the report the suspect returned to the scene on his bike. Officer Lape chased the suspect on foot while Officer Ades along with other officers setup a perimeter.

Officers ended up locating the suspect hiding in carport between a house and a garage.

Mack Brown, 48, of Fort Myers, was arrested for burglary to a vehicle, grand theft, resisting an officer without violence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
