PUNTA GORDA, Fla.- A Charlotte County Sheriff's deputy observed a man driving and not wearing his seat belt that led to drug trafficking charges. The incident occurred at Fairway Drive and Sunset Boulevard, east of Punta Gorda at 6:17 p.m.
The deputy saw Timothy William Dunnell, 23, of 1581 Noble Terrace in Port Charlotte, and recognized him from previous contact and knew his driver’s license was revoked.
A search of Dunnell’s vehicle found a plastic sandwich baggie with 46 Roxicodone pills. Dunnell was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Roxicodone and Driving While License Suspended. He was transported to the Charlotte County Jail where he remains on $25,500 bond. This is Dunnell’s 12th booking.
