Man arrested for stealing brass and copper from Home Depot

NAPLES, Fla.- A homeless Naples man was arrested for grand theft after shoplifting fro Home Depot on Tuesday.

Lonnie Heckelman slipped multiple brass fittings, copper tubing cutters and other items into the cargo pockets of his pants. The 37-year-old exited the store without paying and was confronted by an asset protection services officer for the store.

Heckelman was detained in handcuffs until deputies arrived.

He still had the merchandise on him and was arrested for the crime.
