FORT MYERS, Fla.- Police were called to Sieanna Lakes Apartments on Winkler Ave. after a bullet was shot through a man's home on Friday night.
When police investigated the apartment they suspected the bullet came from, they found a spent shell casing and a hole above the kitchen stove. The occupants of the home, including 25-year-old William Tuers, attempted to conceal the hole with salt and pepper shakers, denying that they owned a gun.
Tuers eventually admitted to owning a firearm, which was located in the parking lot of the apartment complex.
He is a registered felon due to a conviction in New Jersey for fleeing and eluding.
Tuers was arrested for Possession of a Firearm by a convicted felon.
