FORT MYERS, Fl. - With so many people are preparing for this storm, some home improvement stores had to call extra shipments to restock their supplies Friday.

Customers at Home Depot cleaned out their plywood section, buying enough material to cover their windows.  Employees remind people protecting your glass to do it Saturday morning at the latest before any rain shows up.

"Try not to wait to the last minute, you definitely don't want to be out in the wind and rain trying to hang these up.  They get awkward to handle at that point.  Tap gun screws which are the blue screws for concrete because most houses are stucco around here," says store manager, Britta Anderson.

Store managers at Lowes say they have plenty of hurricane shutters left.  They say more customers have been buying the hardware needed to mount them.
