HURRICANE CENTRAL - Don't expect relief supplies in our area right after a storm. You'll need to be prepared to be on your own for a few days.
Roads may be blocked and there probably won't be any electricity. If you've evacuated, consider staying away for awhile and listen to the news for information on re-entry. It's crucial that you don't go sightseeing and clog up the road. Treat all water as unsafe until you are notified otherwise. Avoid downed power lines and report them to your utility company. And beware of wild animals and insects. Bees, fire ants, wasps and snakes will be seeking high, dry ground which may include your home.
