HURRICANE CENTRAL - There are some real dangers you need to be aware of after a storm.
--Don't trim trees or remove debris near damaged or downed power lines. You don't know if the lines are still live and don't want to run the risk of touching them.
--A licensed electrician should repair damage to your home's system. If your home is damaged, get an inspection to be sure it's safe.
--Don't drive through standing water on the road. You don't want to get stuck.
--If food doesn't look or smell good, throw it away! Anything that's been at more than 40-degrees for two or more hours, pitch. Anything in contact with floodwater, throw out.
--Pay attention to boil water notices and follow them.
