HOUSTON- What started out as a small gift from a high school boyfriend, turned into a 110 lb. companion.
Turbo, a 13-year-old African spur thigh tortoise, takes regular walks with his human, just like any other household pet. His human thought she was getting a tiny box turtle as a hatchling. Instead, she got the third largest tortoise species on the planet, and he still hasn't stopped growing.
They'll be together for a long time, as Turbo's life expectancy is 150 years.
