CORVALLIS, OR- One professor has no problem keeping his freshman students awake. Kevin Ahern breaks the science teacher mold by singing his way through lectures.

He calls them his "metabolic melodies," and he's written over 120 of them.

His biochemistry students can't get enough. Students say it helps because the lyrics stick in their head. Plus, the tunes go to songs they already know.
