What do stripper poles and churches have in common? An Ohio pastor is making the connection.
WLWT News 5 out of Cincinnati is reporting that a local pastor put a stripper pole on the pulpit to illustrate the differences between the sexes and in an effort to save marriages.
Pastor Mike Scruggs told WLWT he's not a traditional preacher.
"We push the envelope, that's true," Scruggs said.
The display on the pulpit features Scrugg's version of a married couple's bed, representing the needs of the sexes.
One half supposedly showcases the husband's needs, decorated with video games, a basketball and the controversial stripper pole, complete with dollar bills scattered about.
On the wife's side of the bed, a teddy bear, candles, rose petals and a Bible are featured.
