CHICAGO (AP) - United Airlines is attempting to return to normal operations after a five-hour computer outage virtually shut down the carrier last night and early today.
United spokesman Charles Hobart says the airline doesn't expect to cancel any more flights this weekend due to the outage, though he says delays might continue.
Hobart says United canceled 16 flights last night and approximately 20 cancelations systemwide today due to the computer problems. He says there were about 100 flight delays.
The airline still has no explanation for the outage.
