COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - The attorney for the 14-year-old boy accused of shooting his parents to death in the Golden Gate Estates is sounding off on newly released details of the investigation.

The first release of reports from the State Attorney's Office concerning the killing of Thomas and Kelly Crain is 444 pages. Their son, Alex Crain, is charged with the shooting. According to the boy's attorney, there's still much more to see.

"We haven't seen the comprehensive evaluation from the doctors that will be evaluating Alex, to explain, to help explain exactly what happened that morning," Miami Lawyer Brian Bieber says.

Previously, Bieber told WINK News it's thought that Crain has some type of mental issue that played a big part in the incident.

As far as a statement from a classmate who told investigators he overheard Crain talk about killing his mom, Bieber has this to say, "it's not a matter of someone being able to confirm it, it was a flat out fabrication. And teenagers make things up." The statement was called false by another student who was named as hearing it.

Classmates we spoke to in the past questioned if drugs played a part, but Bieber says Alex was never tested. "No one ever suspected him using drugs, ever."

Crain is scheduled to be in court June 6th. His attorney expects further information on Alex's mental evaluations to be available within the next few months.
