WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama is hoping Republicans and Democrats can reach an agreement on budget cuts after he meets with House Speaker John Boehner later this morning. The government's been operating because of a series of temporary emergency spending bills, and the latest one expires midnight Friday. Lawmakers are working on another stopgap spending measure.
