LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A truck fire on I-75 near mile marker 134 that shutdown the northbound lanes Friday morning is now open.

 

April 1, 2011 at about 6:20 am Vehicle 1 was traveling north on Interstate 75 (SR 93) in the outside lane. The driver of the vehicle noticed a
fire at the rear of the trailer. The driver pulled to the east shoulder at mile marker 134 northbound and called 911 to report the fire. The fire
dept arrived and extinguished the fire. There was damage to the left rear tires and frame of the trailer. Interstate 75 northbound was closed
down from 11:00am to about 1:00pm to transfer fuel from the trailer tanks. There were no injuries from the incident

The driver of a vehicle traveling north on Interstate 75 (SR 93) in the outside lane Friday at approximately 6:20 a.m. noticed a fire at the rear of the trailer. The driver pulled to the east shoulder at mile marker 134 northbound and called 911 to report the fire.

The fire deptartment arrived and extinguished the fire. There was damage to the left rear tires and frame of the trailer.

Interstate 75 northbound was shut down from 11:00 a.m. to about 1:00 p.m. to transfer fuel from the trailer tanks. There were no injuries from the incident.
