LEE COUNTY, Fla.- I-75 has reopened after an accident occurred. 

The Edison bridge has reopened.

 
Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 4:19 p.m. a Fort Myers Police Officer spotted a white, Dodge pickup truck equipped with an extra gas tank leaking fuel as it traveled on the roadway. The officer was able to conduct a traffic stop on the Edison Bridge. The fuel leak has caused a road closure. Evans Avenue from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to the north side of the Edison Bridge has been shutdown. The southbound lanes on the Edison Bridge remain open. Motorists have been asked to avoid the area if possible.
