COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - Florida Fish and Wildlife helps capture a bear that terrorized a Collier County neighborhood for weeks. The bear was on the loose in the Enchanting Shores community, that's east of U.S. 41, near Collier Boulevard.

The bear wasn't afraid of people in the park, and didn't hesitate looking for food. That's the reason FWC decided to set a trap to catch the 420 pound bear and relocate it.

Many in the park recall close encounters with the bear, including one couple that has claw marks on the screen of their trailer as evidence.

The bear was captured and officers say he's in excellent condition. He's being relocated to the Picayune Strand State Forest.
