FORT MYERS, Fla.- The Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to a call at approximately 11:15 p.m. Friday reporting a domestic disturbance at a home on Navarro Way.
Cypress Lake High School JROTC instructor, Joe D. Jennings, 46, pointed a gun at his son's chest and threatened to kill him, his brother and then himself, according to a Lee County Sheriff's Office report.
The two Jennings boys went to a neighbor's house to call police.
Jennings was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.
Jennings is on suspension with pay as the investigation continues, according to Joe Donzelli with Lee County Schools.
