COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - New details about the 5-year-old boy injured when an ATV ran him over. Tonight Jake Gelormine is recovering from surgery at a Tampa hospital.

The normally playful boy is fighting for his life with a broken leg, broken arm, pelvis injury, eye injury, skull fracture, and needs a steel plate in his leg. He's still in a coma and in critical condition.

The 911 tape from the incident details frantic moments right after the ATV landed on the boy. Two neighborhood kids were riding it when they hit a rock and it ran away from them. It hit Jake while he was fishing with his dad and then fell back on top of him. The caller says he's bleeding badly and is barely conscious. At one point, she's frantic over the boy's condition.

We're also learning Jake's parents recently fell on hard times concerning their employment. Friends have set up a bank account for donations to help pay for mounting medical costs. To donate, click here for information.
