CHARLOTEE COUNTY, Fla.-The Florida Highway Patrol says a woman who fell asleep behind the wheel caused a four-vehicle accident in Charlotte County.

Cynthia Terzado and her family were heading home to Tampa on I-75, when a rollover in the northbound lanes slowed traffic down.

"I saw that cars ahead started to slow down so I started to slow down as well," explained Terzado. "I looked in the rear-view mirror and I saw a black car coming straight at me."

That black car was a Honda Accord. FHP says the driver of that vehicle fell asleep and slammed into the SUV Terzado was driving.

Thankfully no one was seriously injured in the four-vehicle crash. But two people were taken to the hospital as a safety precaution.

"All of us were wearing our seat belts, which I think made a huge difference," said Terzado.

FHP says the driver of the Honda Accord will be cited for the four-vehicle crash.
