COVINGTON, La. (AP) - Louisiana State Police say a Florida driver stopped for a traffic violation seemed nervous, so troopers asked permission to search his minivan - and found 98 marijuana plants.

Trooper Nick Manale says the plants were in two storage bins in the rear of the van, which was stopped Thursday evening on Interstate 12.

Capt. George Bonnett of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office says 32-year-old Maykel Lopez of Cape Coral, Fla., was booked on charges of possessing and cultivating marijuana and improper lane use.

Bonnett says Lopez was held Friday in lieu of $100,000 bond.

He did not know whether Lopez has an attorney.
