CHARLOTTE COUNTY- Charlotte County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit detectives arrested Devontino “Teno” Brown, 23, of Port Charlotte on Thursday.

Detectives waited in the parking lot of the Murdock Circle Apartments and when Brown drove in, parked his car, and got out, he was arrested.

He was wanted for selling Crack Cocaine Jan. 18 in the same parking lot to an undercover operative.

A search of Brown located 7.1 grams of marijuana and $560 cash in his front pocket.

The undercover operation in January was for 4.5 grams of Crack that took place in the same parking lot. It was sent to FDLE for testing and results came back positive for Crack Cocaine.

The apartment where Brown lives is within 1,000 feet of Port Charlotte High School.

He was charged with Sale and Delivery of Crack Cocaine within 1,000 feet of a School, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Brown was transported to the Charlotte County Jail where he is being held without bond.
