TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Gov. Rick Scott will make his first State of the State speech, which will outline his priorities for this year's legislative session.
Scott will deliver the speech in the House chamber at 6 p.m. Tuesday, hours after the Legislature opens its 60-day session.
Expect the speech to focus heavily on job creation and cutting government spending.
Scott also wants to expand a privatization of Medicaid, protect businesses from lawsuits, overhaul Citizens Property Insurance Corp. and make create a system where teacher merit pay is based on student testing.
